In appreciation of our Head Start teachers

Most of us have a favorite teacher, sometimes from long, long ago. It could be someone who came to the classroom every day with patience and understanding or it could be someone who helped us just at that right time, when a little help meant so much. We got a lot of who we are from our teachers. For many of us, our self-confidence started to grow in a classroom where someone first said “you can do this.”
At Muskogee County Head Start, we have teachers in classrooms with children whose ages range from a few weeks to five years. These teachers have a wonderful opportunity in guiding and nurturing children through their most vital and formative years. When asked why they chose to work at Head Start, our teachers most often answer, “I love these children.” On the foundation of that love, these children can grow and learn and go anywhere!
Today is a day for giving back to our special teachers. And this week is National Teachers’ Appreciation week. Please take a moment to thank those who took time with you.
And Happy Teachers’ Appreciation Week to our Muskogee County Head Start Teachers!
