Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs) are  offered by many employers, typically in conjunction with a health insurance plan. They are intended to help employees deal with personal problems that might adversely impact their work performance, health and well-being, and generally include assessment, short-term counseling and referral services. Issues for which EAPs provide support include:

  • Substance abuse
  • Anger Issues
  • Emotional distress
  • Major life events (births, deaths, accidents, etc.)
  • Health care concerns
  • Financial or legal concerns
  • Family/personal relationship issues
  • Work relationship issues
  • Concerns about aging parents

We also provide our clients with what’s called supported employment, an evidence-based practice that assists in defining career goals and provided ongoing support to employers and employees.  More specificallly, we partner with the Individual Placement and Support program (IPS) that helps people living with behavioral health conditions work at regular jobs of their choosing.
