Care-A-Van Rolls On…
Our mobile unit, the CARE-A-VAN, has arrived and will begin providing much needed integrated behavioral healthcare to various rural communities in both Muskogee and McIntosh counties. The Care-A-Van is a newly remodeled RV that was purchased from grant funds and support from the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services.
The purpose of this program is to take our services on the road in order to reach a population that may not be able to afford to spend valuable time and money to travel long distances to one of our locations. We want to be able to reach all the smaller communities in Muskogee and McIntosh counties and currently travel to two difference communities a day.
Some of the services the Care-A-Van provides are mental health screenings, crisis services, blood pressure checks, Recovery support such as Medication-Assisted-Treatment. We have a dedicated staff consisting of licensed clinicians, nurses and support staff that are ready to provide care to those who need it most.
Our Leadership Team and several other staff members, have worked diligently to make this dream a reality and we are so excited to bring this form of care to those who may otherwise be unable to receive it. We are so proud of our new ride and look forward to seeing lives changed for the better because of our ability to get out into the communities we serve.
