Job Fair Insp-HIRING success
On Tuesday, August 31st, Green Country held a job fair in A building to help expedite the onboarding process and to bring more staff into the Green Country family of “caring people, caring for others.” There are numerous openings in a variety of departments at GCBHS including case managers, therapists, PRN Nurses and PRSS’s and the turnout for the 7-hour event was steady throughout the day. “I set a goal of having about 20 candidates, especially with this being our first job fair in a long time.” Jennifer Tapia, Human Resources Director said. “We had 17 applicants and the most encouraging part of all this was that at the end of the day, we hired 9 of those individuals.” Not only will these employees be at our main location, but Early/Head Start was also interviewing potential candidates and it was a group effort during the interview process. There were several room in A Building that were used to speak with candidates directly, including the large board room. “I was very pleased with the event and we are already looking at doing another job fair in the future, possibly twice a year.” Tapia said.
Many thanks to our HR Team including Joanie Pitts and Chardonnay Hutton for their work in putting this event together.
