Working at home, reaching kids

Working from home, Lisa Mullins with Children’s Services, shares how she is staying connected to kids during this difficult time.
“I use our Sophie doll and books to help children deal with different issues that they are having. We have numerous books that deal with things like divorce, anger, anxiety, depression, making good choices and loss of loved ones. The little ones really respond to Sophie (I have a Sophie voice I use and when they don’t want to talk to Miss Lisa; any adult, they talk to Sophie).
I use a GCBHS iPad to communicate with kids who don’t have good cellphone communication. We gave them iPads to use and it works great. I use Telehealth with the other kids.”
